Jalal Fatah Kamil
Jalal Fatah Kamil resided in Norway. He was a longtime collaborator of Mullah Krekar, having worked with him on the revision of the founding document of the Kurdistan Battalion. During Krekar’s imprisonment, he had information tasks and was entrusted with classified assignments aimed at furthering the violent objectives of Rawti Shax.
Acting as a conduit for Krekar’s instructions during his detention, he transmitted orders related to the group’s terrorist agenda, fully aware of its connections with armed groups in the Kurdish region. He was directly involved in implementing Rawti Shax’s strategic plans, including retaliatory terrorist operations in Norway, safeguarding the organization and its leader, and devising countermeasures against ongoing legal actions in Europe.
He organized a covert committee, recruiting two members under Krekar’s orders, one of whom was Abdul Rahman Nauroz. This group was tasked with assembling a strike unit for operations in Europe, using coded language and concealed communication methods. Additionally, he acted as the liaison with Rawti Shax’s Italian cell and played a central role in discussions on jihadist engagement in Syria, coordinating combat strategies and unifying directives among members.
In 2019, the Court of Assizes of Bolzano sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months for association with the purpose of international terrorism, under the operation JWEB conducted by the Italian ROS Carabinieri in collaboration with European authorities. Then the Supreme Court confirmed the conviction for jihadist terrorism.
