Mohammad Awaz Khan Hazrat

Mohammad Awaz Khan Hazrat was born in Afghanistan on January 2, 1978, but was living in Rome. In 2015, he was accused of aiding and abetting illegal immigration, and of being part of a criminal association composed of several individuals of Pakistani and Afghan origins across Italy, who trafficked people into Italy illegally and helped them stay by providing them with fake documents or job permits. His involvement was part of a broader operation of the DIGOS to apprehend members of a terrorist cell close to al-Qaeda and other jihadist organisations, operating between Olbia and Rome under the direction of Sultan Wali Khan.
In February 2015, Mohammad Awaz Khan Hazrat was charged with Article 12 of the Italian Immigration Law (D.Lgs. 286/1998) for having aided the illegal immigration of eighty individuals of Pakistani origins from Greece to Italy in June 2010 and then to Spain. In particular, he worked under the directives of Syed Gul Rahman to provide immigrants with hospitality and general assistance. However, his role was marginal and his role emerged only from one phone conversation with Rahman who asked him to host one immigrant, probably Waqas, for one night.
In February 2015, at the time of the execution of the precautionary custody order, Mohammad Awaz Khan Hazret was untraceable.
