Mohamed Mouhine
Mohamed Mouhine was born on December 24, 1954, in Casablanca, Morocco. He was linked to members of the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group when he wes arrested alongside his brother Mustapha by the Italian police for crimes involving receiving and facilitating the illegal entry of immigrants into Italy.
Mohamed Mouhine had travelled to Naples for undisclosed business matters, but was based in Vercelli, Northern Italy. Upon his return to Vercelli, he was stopped by the authorities just before leaving for France. During the search, he was found in possession of numerous forged residency permits and a stolen driver’s license, part of a batch of 10,000 licenses taken from the Naples motor vehicle registry. These forged documents were later connected to a broader operation in Milan, known as “Operation Bazar” which uncovered a network of fake Italian identity documents trafficked as far as Malaysia.
On January 27, 2003, Mohamed and his brother were arrested by the Italian judicial police. Investigators confiscated twenty blank foreign residence permits containing forged details, two Moroccan passports, various documents, and money.
